Crosstown Kitchens’ Stop For Food

In a world of prix fixe dinner options, what makes a great deal even better is knowing that a portion of the cost is going to help an outstanding charity.

Crosstown Kitchens brings back their fabulous Stop For Food Event throughout the month of March. Each participating restaurant will offer a special prix fixe menu priced at either $35 or $50 per person, with $5 or $10 respectively, per meal, being donated directly to The Stop. These menus will be prepared in each restaurant’s distinctive style, using exclusively Ontario-grown ingredients - further strengthening the bonds between local farmers and artisanal producers, restaurants and the community.

Cross Town Kitchens is a group of Toronto chefs who have come together to promote awareness surrounding issues that affect food in our community. CTK is comprised of the chefs from Amuse-Bouche Restaurant (Bertrand Alépée, Jason Inniss and Sarah Lyons), C5 (Ted Corrado), The Stop (Chris Brown) and Torito Tapas Bar (Luis Valenzuela). And of course, everyone knows about the great work that is being done at The Stop, where they're working to increase access to food in a manner that maintains dignity, builds health and community and challenges inequality. Through programs that include a food bank, community kitchen and community garden programs, The Stop promotes the idea that food should be a basic human right.
