Green Gastronomy, the ROM's sustainable food and wine dining program returns. c5 and Food Studio Chefs Ted Corrado and Joshna Maharaj celebrate local food and wine with guest chefs, farmers, food activists, and beer and wine makers. On February 11th, Tony Neale of Wheelbarrow Farms, Uxbridge will be cooking a variety of cuts of his farm-raised pork; with Jonah Schein from the Stop Community Food Centre; winemaker, Shiraz Mottiar from Malivoire Wines, Niagara; and representatives from Steam Whistle Brewery and Waupoos Cider, Prince Edward County.

Il Fornello Restaurants will offer a hearty 3-course prix fixe dinner menu during their annual Winterdelicious promotion, with 75 cents from each dinner to be donated to the Daily Bread Food Bank. The highlight of the menu is chef Steven Silvestro's Stone Soup, a dish rooted in folklore that tells the story of a hungry traveler who persuades famished villagers to work together - and contribute one item from their own food supply - to create a delicious soup which feeds them all. The "Introduction To Wine Tasting" seminar caters to those who have discovered a passion for wine, but find themselves lacking in knowledge on the subject and want to learn the basic fundamentals of wine tasting. Join David Calado, Global Wine Tour's Administrator, as he takes you on a 3 hour tasting seminar, teaching you the fundamentals of tasting wine, and what to look for in a quality wine. We will provide a tasting flight of 8 very different wines, and as you are tasting each one, you will be treated to a visual presentation using Google Earth and Powerpoint, where you will learn about the major grape varieties, and how climate, geography and wine styles impact the wine being tasted.
