The Sustainability Network and Coach House Books host a lively conversation between three key contributors of The Edible City: Wayne Roberts (NOW Magazine contributor and Coordinator of the Toronto Food Policy Council), Lorraine Johnson (author of over 10 environmental and gardening books), and Shawn Micallef (Senior Editor of Spacing, co‐founder of [murmur] and OCAD instructor). Alternatives Executive Editor Nicola Ross will moderate the discussion.

Chef Stefan from USA Rice will be doing a demo/tasting using various rices. There will be an in depth discussion on types of rices, cooking methods and costs, followed by a tasting involving Beetroot infused Patna Rice with Maple/Anise Duck, Toasted long grain brown rice with red wine braised lamb rib, ponzu seared sea scallops, with medium grain white rice cakes and White Chocolate US Arborio Risotto.
