Vintage Port Tasting

Chef Trevor Ritchie (Queen's Landing, Niagara-on-the-Lake) is Ontario's top Junior Chef, and recently won a second gold medal in the National Junior Culinary Competition, the highest level in Canada. He will now be representing Canada at the World's Chef Competition in Santiago, Chile, in January 2010.

This month's dinner will feature Perth Pork Products and Stratus Vineyards.

Globe Bistro presents a very special sparkling edition of their Winemaker Dinner series featuring Hugh Davies, president and son of the founders of the award-winning Schramsberg Vineyards. Schramsberg produces some of the finest "methode traditionelle" sparkling wines in the world from their Napa and Sonoma vineyards, some of which date back to the original founder Jacob Schram in the 1860's. The dinner will feature wine pairings include Blanc de Blancs, Blanc de Noirs, Brut Rose, the 1999 J. Scrham as well as the 2005 J. Davies Diamond Mountain Cabernet.
