The largest multi-disciplinary South Asian Arts festival outside of South Asia, Masala! Mehndi! Masti! is a spectacular multi-generational presentation that connects today's world with the wonders of 5000 years of civilization, its ancient traditions and modern influences. Our vision is not only to make South Asians proud of their heritage but to make them proud partners in Canadian culture. It provides an opportunity to established and emerging artists in traditional and contemporary spheres of music, dance, film, theatre, literature and poetry, natural health practices, social issues, cuisine, arts & crafts and much more. Caribana is an exciting cultural explosion of Caribbean music, cuisine, revelry as well as visual and performing arts. In its 42nd year it has become a major international event and the largest cultural festival of its kind in North America. As Carnival is an international cultural phenomenon, the great metropolis of Toronto and its environs will come alive as the city explodes with the pulsating rhythms and melodies of Calypso, Soca, Reggae, Hip Hop, Chutney, Steel Pan and Brass Bands.
