I don't usually like running articles about events after the fact, especially events that are not open to the public. But last Thursday, the Oliver & Bonacini group held an event at the Toronto Board of Trade, where they are now the exclusive service provider under the guidance of Chef Jamie Meireles, that I think deserves a mention. The event featured 8 chefs from the various Oliver & Bonacini restaurants, including Canoe, Jump, Auberge de Pommier, Biff's Bistro, and Oliver & Bonacini Cafe Grill.
Held to officially announce O&B's association with the Toronto Board of Trade, invitees were feted with fabulous food, tasty cocktails and tours of the Board of Trade event spaces. The evening featured samples from each restaurant, as well as a cocktail bar, a separate martini lounge, and a room full of pastries from OMG Baked Goodness, Bobette & Belle, and chocolates from Soma Chocolatemaker.
And while there wasn't an official announcement or press release to write a story from, everything we ate was so wonderful - and so beautiful - that I figured it was worthy of a little bit of food porn. Enjoy!
