Here's some food for thought for today...
- You'll never eat fast food again - this footage has been all over the intarwebs, but it's reassuring to know that these two 30-year-olds (!!) have been fired and are facing charges for their abhorrent behaviour which includes one of them rubbing a pot scrubber on his backside and then cleaning a pan with it. Sooo classy.
- Saving the fishery industry from itself - the Pacific Northwest pollock industry looks set to follow the path of the Atlantic cod industry in the 80s.
- Supermarkets co-op and bastardize the term "local" to include processed food.
- Getting started as a suburban beekeeper. Who knew you could order bees through the mail?
- Memories of the chip pot. Is the deep fat fryer really so evil?
- Uh... what? Companies such a Kellogg's, Pepsi, McDonald's and Unilever are named to a list of the "world's most ethical companies".
- And finally, Food-O-Mat - a collection of vintage supermarket photos.
