Here's some food for thought for today...
- Just be careful not to spill the hot drinks - a topless coffee shop opens in Maine.
- We may not get as much benefit from fish as previously thought, which means we should maybe all start eating less to allow the fish stocks to recover.
- The and/or rule - The US began enforcing the Country of Origin Labelling laws (COOL) on Monday. Now beef is showing up at supermarkets with labels like "Origin of beef MAY be from Mexico and USA". Helpful, no?
- Why shopping at the farmers market is better for you and the planet.
- Newsflash - not all overweight and obese people are unhealthy. Turns out, they might even be healthier and live longer than thin people.
- The type of cook you are (e.g. innovative, competitive) determines how health-conscious your meals will be.
- And finally, chefs working in the area of "modern cuisine" (aka. molecular gastronomy) fear the thrill of gel is gone.
