Here's some food for thought for today...
- The raw milk versus pasteurized milk debate continues.
- The 20 Worst Foods list will scare the beejeezus out of everyone. Most of the items are from US chains, but still, who knew tuna melts were so bad for you?
- Alice in Wonderland - despite a loud campaign by Alice Waters and others for a garden on the White House lawn, it turns out there's been one on the roof for years. And they've been using food from local farms but kept it quiet for security reasons. And Laura Bush was a big (but quiet) fan of organics. Whoops. This might be why many people in the US food scene are now saying Waters is out of touch.
- Uh... pretty sure that's not legal here. UK restaurants use leftover wine and bread in other dishes.
- Is your ice cream shrinking? Häagen Das uses smaller containers to as not to compromise on quality. Sure.
- Remembering the pleasures of cooking, and how lucky we are to be able to do so.
- You'll never look at custard the same way - Verdi's Traviata in animated dessert form. Stick around for the big finish.

That 20 Worst Foods list makes me very glad to be Canadian. Disgusting!
And what's with T.G.I. Friday's refusing to give out nutritional information? Even if the restaurant wasn't as awful as it's supposed to be, that would be enough reason never to eat there.
