Here's some food for thought for today...
- If you never click another link on this site, at least check out these articles on Epicurious about What Farmers Want Consumers to Know. Part 1 and Part 2. Seriously... please read 'em. Thank you.
- Could a dinner co-op be the trick to eating well during the recession?
- New year's resolutions: exercise more, but don't give up that fast food - US Yum Brands (owners of KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut) are offering a free 1-month membership to an online fitness programme.
- Foodie resolutions for the new year to help you go green. (Yes, the environment is still important.)
- There's a resurgence of interest in scripture cakes - where cake recipes include references to bible verses that mention or contain a clue about the specific ingredient.
- Absinthe, not just for Goths anymore - now that the green fairy is legal in the US, it joins the list of trends that are considered passé (remember cigar bars?).
- And finally - I'm pretty sure there's no New Year's resolution that would allow a French-fried hot dog.
