There's good reading on the Toronto food blogs this week...
- Blog From Our Kitchen - Elizabeth makes grape pie. (Psst - they're probably Coronations, a close relation to Concords - similar, but smaller and seedless.)
- Cream Puffs in Venice - Ivonne sings the praises of carrots.
- Dana McCauley - Dana saves her tomatoes from impending frost.
- Gothic Epicures VinCuisine - Dean reviews The Battle For Wine and Love.
- Kalofagas - Peter proclaims it duck season.
- On the Road With the Grape Guy - Michael recaps the Shores of Erie International Wine Festival Winemakers dinner.
- One Bite at a Time - Kay makes a curry with manathakkali.
- Recipes For Trouble - Marusya visits the Dufferin Grove market.
- Save Your Fork - I discover that my favourite new (to me) food writer has already retired.
- The DeLish Bite - Lindsay explores Greektown.
- Toronto Slop - Bobby checks out the Roncesvalles Village Polish Fest.
Thank you for the link AND the grape identification, Sheryl. I'm not sure if they are coronations; the grapes we bought are seedless and according to the information at ontariotenderfruit.com, coronations are semi-seedless.
Excuse me for appearing to reply to myself.
We bought more blue grapes, and this time there was a label on the handle of the basket. You're absolutely right, Sheryl; they were Coronation grapes.
