There's some kind of crazy low pressure system coming in and I've got the head explody today. So I'm giving myself a sick day to go and watch court shows and flip through fashion magazines with the shades drawn. Here's this week's weeklies, in point form...
NOW
- Steven Davey checks out Piccolo
- Graham Duncan likes the pizza at Mangia & Bevi
- In Sips and Nips, Duncan tries some 360 Eco Luxury Vodka
Eye
- Chakra gets 4 stars
Metro
- serve up some cool summer salads
- tortilla pizza from Everyone Can Cook Midweek Meals
- pasghetti!
- David Rocco has a new show on the Food Network, which makes the unexplained spaghetti recipe a little more logical in retrospect

Thank you, Sheryl, for making the pasghetti connect to the Rocco show. That spaghetti recipe is just odd. 4 'leavese' of basil to one pound of pasta? And are those leavese kept whole or chopped or...? And why is the picture garnished with parsley?
The things that keep me up at night...
And Chakra gets 4 stars? Well, good for them.
Not to mention the fact that the pasta in no way looks as if the tomatoes have touched it. Ah, food stylists.
I can't stand food stylists sometimes.
Hope you're feeling better Sheryl.
Thanks Suresh. Incidentally, apologies for not coming to sit with you guys yesterday at Tasty Thursday. The combination of hot sun and headache made me head for the shade of the garden.
