Rev is a nice alternative when you're out a club (hey, remember doing that??!!) and aren't at all interested in beer, mixed drinks, or Smirnoff Ice that'll make you go "Zzzzzz" (for those of us with low alcohol tolerances and forgot to drink enough coffee beforehand to get the caffeine buzz otherwise!).

Ok, so it might make me look like a rave kid but I like the blue freezie taste and the guarana keeps me awake. I agree that Mike's *does* taste chemically though.

Pomtini's are also ok, but one thing I dislike about most coolers is the carbonation. But I guess that's just me (never did like the fizz in pop at all).

I've always hated coolers (especially anything attached to Smirnoff or Mike's Hard)..but...

...there was one brand that I couldn't get enough of about 2 years ago. Remember Yuha?
It was made by a company in BC called "Giving You The Juice Beverage Co"
The drink was vodka based, non carbonated, with plenty of real fruit juices, like guava, mango. It was highly addictive and a refreshing alternative to many of these carbonated drinks.

The product was discontinued about a year ago, sadly...

I want my Yuha.

Hi Candice,

You pretty much hit the nail on the head. The Pomtinis would be great at a BBQ if you weren't a beer drinker or maybe didn't want to drink a whole bottle of wine yourself. They are actually a nice drink, but I think one or two would be my limit, the same way I can really only drink a small glass of fruit juice or half a can of soda before I'm ready to give up.

Thanks for the review!

I'm not a fan of alcopops myself, although I do on occasion order a Smirnoff Ice while at a bar. Also, my husband and I decided to try some Pomtinis last year, and were pleasantly surprised. Not something we'd get very often, but fun for a BBQ with friends.
