Last weekend may have been the unofficial start of summer, but this weekend likely will feel more like it due to the (hopefully) nicer weather and the first two of many street festivals that will be taking place pretty much every weekend between now and the fall.
Today and tomorrow at Yonge-Dundas Square, it's the 2nd annual Green Toronto Festival, with today's kid-oriented events taking place in the Square itself, while Saturday sees things expand to take over Yonge Street between Queen and Dundas. Food producers, purveyors and organisations on hand will include Caffe Ibis, Chocosol, Friends of the Greenbelt, Front Door Organics, Hearty Catering, Taste of Nature, Toronto Vegetarian Association and Vegetarian Guidebooks.
Also returning for 2008 is Pedestrian Sundays Kensington, which will take place on the streets of Kensington Market this Sunday and the last Sunday of every month through to September. Expect parades, music, art and fashion shows, street food and more fun stuff.
