While it's better known as a showcase for hand-made fashions, jewellery, artwork and such, the One Of A Kind show always features a good selection of artisan food vendors as well. Some of those appearing at the Spring show taking place this weekend at the Direct Energy Centre include Himalaya Gourmet with an assortment of Indian chutneys and sauces, the infused balsamics and artisan oils of edible gardens, and the ever-popular Bean Ladies.
Adding even more flavour to the event this year will be the folks from Homegrown Ontario, an alliance of Ontario's pork, veal, lamb and turkey farmers who will be presenting cooking demonstrations throughout the weekend featuring chefs from various inns around the province.
