If you smell something really good cooking this weekend, you may be in the vicinity of one of the many events taking place as part of the Canadian Culinary Championships, the final event in the Gold Medal Plates series of Olympic charity events have been taking place across the country in the last last few months. The winning chefs from all seven of the previous events, including Toronto's own Anthony Walsh of Canoe, started things off last night with an Iron Chef style competition at George Brown College, and the festivities will continue throughout the weekend, with the grand champion chef to be crowned on Saturday night at the Arcadian Court.
Oh, and there's lots of Valentine's Day crap happening next week, if you're into that sort of thing.
