The Wide, Wide World of Web - Monday, February 4th

webapple.jpgWinterlicious is a popular topic on the blogs this week. At Spotlight Toronto, they're hitting as many places as possible with reviews of Provences Delices, The Spice Room and Chutney Bar, Opal Lounge, Sopra Lounge, and one non-Winterlicious review of Island Foods at Village by the Grange.

At BlogTO, they're Winterlicious-ing at Czehoski, but there's also reviews of Art Square Cafe, Le Bar a Soupe, Kalendar, and Jumbo Empanadas. They also profile Toronto Sprouts, and cover last weekend's Vegan Chili Cook-off.

Nicole Visschedyk of Posted Toronto visits an olive and olive oil store on the Danforth, Dylan Reid of Spacing Toronto posts about the potential bung-up that could happen with the City's street food carts, and Eric Vellend at Menumental offers suggestions on great foods to celebrate Chinese New Year.

Ivy Knight interviews TV Chef Michael Smith at Gremolata, while Malcolm Jolley interviews Terroir creator Arlene Stein and sips some Familia Mayol, 2003 'Kaleido' Cabernet Sauvignon, and the Gremotraveller visits Orlando.

At Toronto Life, James Chatto is "busy like bee", which mostly makes me picture him dressed up like Bumblebee Man from The Simpsons, but really means that he's running around tasting and judging and writing. And G'day! David Lawrason is impressed by the Australian wines in the new Vintages release.

Speaking of Winterlicious.... regulars may find this article interesting:http://www.thestar.com/living/Food/article/299087

Sounds like the roster for the next promo could be shuffled a little.
