It’s Winterlicious week, and the folks at Spotlight Toronto are aiming to try as many of the participating restaurants as they can. Already, Nina has visited Pangaea, and Suresh reviews La Bruschetta. Suresh also checks out the drinks on offer at Go For Tea.
At Torontoist, they previewed Saturday’s Vegan Chili Cook-off (hey… who won??), Julie Reitsma eats her way across the city’s sushi bars to determine which one is best, and Jaime Woo recommends two different companies that will cook your supper.
Tanja at BlogTO takes in some different Asian fare this week, with reviews of Thai Bangkok, and Pho Rang Dong.
At Menumental, Eric Vellend demonstrates another reason to eschew the cult of local - blood oranges and their annual arrival in the city.
There’s sausages galore as Carlos Fuenmayor writes about Segovia Meat Market at Gremolata. Malcolm Jolley previews the Montreal Highlights Festival, looks at Sauternes as aperetif, and reviews a couple of Spanish reds.
At Toronto Life, David Lawrason drinks a whole lot of Bordeaux at the 2005s tasting, while James Chatto explores the wonderful world of dim sum, as seen through the eyes of Chef Terrence Chan of Lai Wah Heen.

Looks like I’m not the only sushi/sashimi fanatic. :) It’s great to see Julie Reitsma’s tour for sushi after the sushi post we put up months back. Funny enough, this is how I discovered that one of my photos was used in her post! Glad to know that my picture taking isn’t done in vain. ;)
