In the aftermath of the holidays, when the weather is miserable, it's nice to get back in the kitchen and cook up the things that you really want to eat. After weeks of the traditional shortbreads, stuffing, eggnog et al, Toronto food bloggers appear to be embracing good ol' comfort food.
At Cream Puffs in Venice, Ivonne whips up a loaf of savoury bread full of cheese and garlic, and there are Black-Bottom Coconut Bars at What's on My Plate. And Eric at Do You Know the Muffin Man? has chai macarons.
In the savoury comfort food column, Elizabeth at Blog From Our Kitchen has mushroom ravioli, and Tara at Seven Spoons makes linguine with crab and artichoke.
