T.O. Events for November 9th-15th

Picks of the Week:

continues until Sunday, November 11th

Direct Energy Centre, Exhibition Place

As Sheryl noted in her story earlier this week, there's plenty of food-related fun at the Royal, and this is your last weekend to experience it all. Eat a rare pear, check out the butter sculpture, gawk at the mutant vegetables, and see a bunch of animals that aren't food. Yet.

Diwali - aka the Festival of Light - is an Indian festival that celebrates the victory of good over evil, and an uplifting of spiritual darkness which is represented by the lighting of candles. More importantly, though, it involves eating a lot of food, including platter after platter of sweet, sweet burfi. Hint: Wear loose pants!
