lamaquette.jpgConsidered by many people to be one of the most romantic restaurants in Toronto - not to mention one of the most charitable - La Maquette (111 King Street East) is celebrating 25 years of serving fine French cuisine in their historic Old Town location. To mark the occasion, owner Ange Kanavas is having a party, and everyone's invited!

Taking place tomorrow (Tuesday, August 21st), the birthday bash will get underway at 6:30pm with hors d'oeuvres and cocktails. A presentation will follow at 7:30pm, after which the floor will be cleared for music and dancing. If you make it down, be sure to check out the beautiful view of the Sculpture Garden from their unique indoor patio on the second floor.

I've had the opportunity to dine twice at La Maquette..both experiences were very memorable. I loved the duck confit.
I would like to say "see you tonight" but I'm afraid I might be stuck at the office, but I'll certainly try!...
