It’s a quiet one again this week.
At the Toronto Star, Jennifer Bain hits the Lebanese bakery and explores the world of za’atar, a spice blend used on bread. There are also recipes for items like za’atar salad, chicken and pita crisps. Bain also visits the One Love Corn Booth at Harbourfront.
Also at the Star, Gorden Stimmell has a nice list of wine picks for the week, while the Observed column looks at the new PMS Support chocolate bar. Seems more sensible just to take a Midol and eat some good chocolate instead.
It’s quiet at the Globe and Mail this week as well where Vikran Vij makes coconut curried vegetables, and Alexandra Gill looks at the many ways to serve crab.
Joanne Richard at the Toronto Sun looks at how office workers tend to pack on the pounds, and Elizabeth Baird previews a couple of local harvest festivals such as the Bigga Tomatafest and The Winona Peach Festival.
