It’s a short little round-up this week - looks like everyone’s on vacation. Which isn’t a bad idea - I hear the water’s nice and warm off the Nova Scotia coast, and I could surely do with a feed of fried clams and a stroll through Halifax’s Point Pleasant Park. For those stuck in the big hot city though, here’s what was happening on the blogs this week.
This week at the Eye website, the Local is a place over on Richmond East called Harlem. Barry Hertz of Posted Toronto reviews Cluck, Grunt and Low.
At Gremolata, Ivy Knight sings the praises of green tomatoes, Chris Willsher profiles Reif Estate Winery, and Zoltan Szabo shares his wine notes from a recent tasting.
Tim of BlogTO has a post with videos of some serious sanitation infractions at a restaurant in Scarborough, while Tanja beats the heat with some ice cream from The Big Chill, and Debbie gets adventurous at HoSu Bistro.
At Toronto Life, James Chatto dines at Splendido on pork, pinot and blueberries, then discusses the World’s Longest BBQ and goats trapped in caves.
