webapple.jpgAt Unknown Toronto, Sarah’s got a list of slow, local and eco-friendly food events coming up. The House on Parliament is this week’s “Local” at Eye. John at BlogUT reviews the foodie movie of the summer, Ratatouille, and Catherine Jheon of Beyond Burgers heads to the east end for ice cream at Ed’s Real Scoop.

Suresh at Spotlight Toronto heads up to C5 for a fantastic view and a fabulous meal, while Posted Toronto interviews Rosa Marinuzzi about the re-opening of Seven Numbers on Eglinton West.

At Gremolata, Malcolm Jolley interviews Joel Peterson from Ravenswood, and reviews a 2004 Chateau de Perier. Also on the subject of wine, David Lawrason of Toronto Life interviews Australian winemaker Peter Gago, while James Chatto enjoys a fancy dinner in the wine cellar at Splendido.

Ian from BlogTO does some comparison shopping at St. Lawrence Market to track down the best peameal bacon sandwich. Tanja dines at King’s Noodle and fails to eat the youtiao, which is always the whole point of King’s Noodle for me. Debbie interviews Philman George, the “rhyming chef”, while Tim continues on his mission to find the best burrito in Toronto, and Eugene swanks it up at Blowfish.

At Torontoist, there’s a panoramic view of St. Lawrence Market, David looks at some dubious promotional items for the film No Reservations, Julia burgers up in a west-end burger challenge, and Chris previews the Psychic Brunch where they know in advance if the eggs benny is overcooked.
