The Tastiness Continues at Nathan Phillips Square

ttgrillguy.jpgAs you no doubt know by now, last Friday's Street Treats Fair in Nathan Phillips Square was a complete nuthouse, with huge line-ups winding through the Square and many vendors running out of food well before the event's planned end time of 2pm.

If you were one of the unlucky ones who missed out because of the line-ups, or just couldn't make it down at all, you may find some consolation in the fact that you can still get some good street-friendly food in front of City Hall at Tasty Thursdays. Starting last week and running until August 23rd, each week features 10 local restaurants serving up their specialities from 11am to 2pm, plus a live band performing at 12 noon.

Restaurants participating tomorrow and next week include Big Daddy’s Crab Shack & Oyster Bar, Dangerous Dan’s Diner, Kathmandu Restaurant, La Cocina de Dona Luz, La Fiesta Restaurant, Lone Star Texas Grill, One Up Restaurant, Purple Pig Smokehouse, The Real Jerk and Satay on the Road. Dishes being served include burgers, ribs, kababs, oysters, salmon, jerk chicken and more, with everything priced at $5 or less.
