The Summer, 2007 edition of Toronto's free food & drink magazine, City Bites, is now available at restaurants and food shops throughout the city. This issue features the usual fine assortment of food and drink articles - many of them seasonally themed - including:
- The 2nd Great City Bites Steak Off, with grillmaster Dick Snyder serving up a stack of ribeyes from some of the city's best butchers and shops including Atelier Thuet, Cheese Boutique, Cumbrae's and The Healthy Butcher.
- Deborah Aarts on the joys of fresh Ontario cherries.
- A profile of kaiseki master Masaki Hashimoto by Michael Pataran.
- Pamela Cuthbert's advance look at the sustainable seafood menu being served at Scaramouche this summer.
- Some summer beer suggestions from Stephen Beaumont.
- A list of late night eateries compiled and compared by Signe Langford.
That's just a sampling of what's in the mag, so to get the full deal, you'll have to pick up a copy somewhere around town, or download the handy PDF version from the City Bites website.
