It was a slow blogging week for most people, all that nice weather seems to have lured them away from their stoves and computers. Here’s what we did find in our search of the intarwebs, though. Enjoy!
- There’s pretty chocolates at Do You Know the Muffin Man?, even though Eric claims they didn’t turn out great. He also discusses his cookie-making class, and shares his impressions of a quick mango kulfi.
- The Nutritionista finds some decent-tasting rice-cakes. No, really!
- Boulevard Cafe gets a review at Phoenikia.
- They’re still playing with yeast over at Blog From Our Kitchen, with progress reports here, although there’s regular foccacia made with regular yeast for bread baking day.
- Heather at ChampagneMinimalistFoodie cooks up some comfort food in the form of Lemon Linguine Carbonara.
- At Confessions of a Cardamom Addict, Jasmine shares a foodie excerpt from a novel she’s working on, and feeds her cat some chicken. For which he’s very appreciative.
- We’re drooling with anticipation waiting to try the nifty snack Ivonne recommends over at Cream Puffs in Venice; “I like a handful of walnuts and a chunk of Parmigiano (cut into small pieces), covered in a few healthy teaspoons of honey (preferably chestnut honey).” Oh. My. God. She’s also got a Jamie Oliver recipe for roasted mushrooms. Yum.
- At Save Your Fork, I’ve got a link to a video of what would certainly have been the best damn cooking show on TV, if it had only made it past the pilot. (Dudes, it had Shatner as a guest!) Plus, I fall head over heels for real buffalo mozzarella.
- k-chan of I Can’t Believe I’m Back in Toronto had a better time that we did at the Good Food Festival, but the crowds got to her too. She also reviews Thai Dish, and Fresh By Juice For Life.
- Megan the Vegan tricks her meat-loving sister into eating tofu, and bakes up a cake shaped like a pair of sneakers.
- Al at Torontovore wants you to eat your greens, dandelion greens, that is.
- Rob of Hungry in Hogtown reveals his plan to take over all Toronto media.
