Doesn't it just figure that on the first nice weekend of spring I have to come down with a killer cold? So while everyone else is out frolicking in the sunshine, I'm stuck at home, blowing my nose and stoned on Sinutab. Good thing I've got all these great blogs to read...
- The wild yeast collection has begun at Blog From Our Kitchen, with the capture, and the waiting and more waiting and then... crackers!
- Heather at ChampagneMinimalist Foodie is raving about the toffee from Alice's Pastryland.
- At Cream Puffs in Venice, Ivonne posts some recipes from a Giada DeLaurentis cookbook.
- There a care package of British goodies over at Dessert by Candy including some stuff from Marks and Spencer.
- As usual, there's a plethora of tasty treats over at Do You Know the Muffin Man?, where Eric bakes up a Golden Pearl Brownie Cake, Caramel Cream Fruit Tarts, and analyzes biscotti-making.
- The Domestic Goddess reveals the results of her recent cookbook poll.
- There's a great post at Fear and Loathing in the Kitchen where Tracey explores the connection between Celiac disease and obesity, and wonders why food allergy testing isn't part of the the standard physical.
- The Galumphing Gourmand cooks up spicy chicken wings and turtle punch for a blog party.
- Hungry in Hogtown discovers the secret to the best fish and chips ever. Hint - it's in the liquor cabinet.
- The Purple Pig gets a "meh!" review from I Can't Believe I'm Back in Toronto.
- Megan the Vegan makes all kinds of desserts in cup form.
- Phoenikia had a busy week, she's got restaurant reviews of New Seoul House, Matahari Grill, Yummis, Trapezzi, and Metta Noce. Whew!
- At Save Your Fork, I've got an editorial about the elitism of the 100-mile diet.
- There is smoked salmon and tomato salad tartine on the menu at Seven Spoons.
- And last but not least, Wasabi Cowgirl makes some white bean and kale soup and some Japanese Tofu Curry Rice.
