Here's what has been happening in the Toronto foodie corner of the internet this past week:
At Beyond Church Street, Craig ventures to Sweet Lulu's with one good experience and one mediocre.
"Cook it yourself" is the theme when Mehreen of Spotlight Toronto visits Stonegrill in Cabbagetown.
There's an announcement about Free Cone Day at Ben & Jerry's on BlogUT. (It's tomorrow, by the way!)
Over at BlogTO, Kari reviews the Brown Cow on Roncesvalles and gives it a 20.5 out of 25. Really? I once had eggs florentine there and they used obviously rotten and yukky spinach. It's on my list of "I'd eat at the arches first!" places, and that's a really small list. Also in BlogTO, Tanja visits Mezzeta where she discovers they do a half-price special on Mondays. And Megan hits Ali Baba's for some cheap and filling (and tasty) Middle Eastern grub.
At Toronto Life (yeah, we've moved their stuff over here from the Blog-A-Log, it seems to fit better), James Chatto lists his best places for lunch, Chris Nuttal-Smith swoons over Italian pastry (and casts a cynical eye at Danone yogurt), and David Lawrason writes about Oroya, a Spanish white wine created specifically to go with sushi.
