It's all point form today folks. I've had too much coffee (yay, Beaver Cafe!) and am currently watching the Islanders game that will determine if our beloved Leafs get to vie for the big shiny drinking vessel of hockey (Shhh! Don't jinx it by saying it out loud!), so I'm a little jittery and my attention span is shot. Enjoy some Toronto-area food blogs in the meantime while I try and settle my nerves.
- Greg at Beer, Beats and Bites drinks a dubbel and learns some stuff he didn't know about beer.
- Blog From Our Kitchen dedicates a post about baked beans to me. (How'd they know I love the musical fruit?) There's also cinnamon buns for Easter.
- James Chatto of Toronto Life becomes a member of the cheese-loving version of the Stonecutters which may potentially require him to wear a silly hat.
- At Confessions of a Cardamom Addict, Jasmine is overwhelmed by fluffy frosting, cooks ribs for her ex-boyfriend (Whoa! Nice gal!) and bakes hot cross buns for Easter.
- Ivonne from Cream Puffs in Venice is hanging out with Jamie Oliver this month as she works her way through his Italian cookbook and makes pasta with chickpeas and then spaghetti with shrimp and arugula. She also whips up a lemon meringue tart in time for Easter.
- Do You Know the Muffin Man? is all about dates this week, with posts about date nut bread and orange date ice cream. There's also honey spiced madeleines, which look delicious.
- The Domestic Goddess treats herself to French toast for her birthday.
- There's Brazilian Fish Stew on the menu for Good Friday at Edible Tulip.
- Garlicster cooks up some pear, apple and spinach sauté with garlic.
- It's easy to cook up Malaysian Fish Curry between Bollywood flicks if you follow the directions at Hooked On Heat.
- I Can't Believe I'm Back In Toronto checks out Live and then takes a chocolate-making course at JS Bonbons.
- Happy to be home from vacation and eating her own cooking, Megan the Vegan whips up some of her favourites.
- The Nutritionista makes some of the healthiest last-minute mushroom caps I've ever seen.
- Ruth at Once Upon a Feast celebrates Passover in Halifax with a delicious menu that includes gefilte fish (my favourite).
- Phoenikia reviews Kultura and Pho Hung on Bloor.
- At Save Your Fork, I review a dubious literary cookbook, bake pretty cupcakes and try to figure out how to serve fruit peirogi.
- Vanessa at Tongue & Cheek tries Bungeoppang, a fish-shaped pastry.
- There's roasted onions on offer at Seven Spoons.
- Torontovore shares the contents of their Good Food Box and bakes up maple syrup butter tarts. Oh... I need these.
- Wasabi Cowgirl shares her version of that childhood favourite (or not so favourite, depending on how good a cook your Mom was), Tuna Casserole.
