The Wide, Wide World of Web - Monday, April 2nd

webapple.jpgSuresh reviews Susur for Spotlight Toronto this week, but given that he dropped $450 for dinner we can understand why his only other review is Cafe Doria, a little coffeehouse at Yonge and Roxborough.

Torontoist has a selection of food-related articles this week, with The Street Food Vending Project, the news of the sudden demise of Amato pizza and a vintage ad from the old Steak and Burger chain. Mmmm... old school steak.

Stephen Jacobs offers a quickie review of La Maquette on Metroblogging Toronto, and on BlogUT they're hot for scented asian pears.

In the online section of Eye, Lynda Spark reviews the Dakota Tavern, a local at Dundas and Ossington that is the latest rage with all the hip kids. (Oh, to be a hip kid again.)

And at BlogTO, Meghan has a "House" theme in mind as she reviews the dim sum at Red House on Bloor, and the pub grub at The House on Parliament, while Michelle is taken with the Italian offerings (both groceries and prepared) at Pastissima.
