I've got nothing witty this week, so here's all the Toronto food bloggers with new posts, in alphabetical order.
-
- At Beer, Beats and Bites, Greg prepares for Session 2, the second beer blogger round-up.
- The folks at Blog From Our Kitchen indulge in Boston Cream Pie and then announce they're going on a diet. (Oh, wait, April Fool's Day post... har)
- James Chatto of Toronto Life jets off to New York City with local chef Nathan Isberg, because who says restaurant critics should remain anonymous and impartial?
- At Confessions of a Cardamom Addict, Jasmine explores the wonderful world of parsnips.
- Ivonne at Cream Puffs in Venice bakes up red velvet cupcakes, macadamia nut rolls with orange glaze, and bids goodbye to March (and the recipes from Bread For Breakfast) with dried apricot scones.
- Coupe de Chocolat et Agrumes are on the menu at Dessert By Candy, along with a taste test of sweet potato chips.
- Do You Know the Muffin Man? is baking up Papaya Cake with Coconut Glaze and Russian Apple Pancake.
- The Domestic Goddess is still debating the fresh versus canned issue and is still at an impasse.
- Edible Tulip reviews The Curiosities of Food.
- Fear and Loathing in the Kitchen eats cheese and lives to tell about it. Barely.
- There's green garlic over at Garlicster. Consensus is olive oil, but the Google-fu says it's most likely water, salt or acid.
- Hooked on Heat cooks up some Spiced Lamb Pilaf on a rainy day.
- Hungry in Hogtown is vying for first prize at the science fair with his dish of Crabcakes With Popcorn Purée.
- There's a cat on the cutting board at I Can't Believe I'm Back in Toronto. Um... ew. I love my cats, but they walk in their own poo. K-chan also checks out Izakaya and Dark Horse, as well as Okonomi House.
- Steph at Kitchen Geek revives her "cheese of the week" posts with a blackcurrant vodka cheddar and Ciel de Charlevoix, a Quebec blue.
- The Nutritionista gives us a quickie post on black pepper.
- There's yet more pasta at Once Upon a Feast and the presto pasta round up.
- Phoenikia gives her readers some quickie reviews of The Freshwood Grill, The Gallery Grill at Hart House, and Tabule.
- Robert at Pots and Pans cooks up BBQ Pork Chops and Soba Noodles, and some 20 minute Pasta e Fagiole soup.
- At Save Your Fork, I am on a unresolvable quest for old-style squeeze cheese. With Ritz crackers. Some things you just can't explain.
- And, saving the best for last, Wasabi Cowgirl has found Cadbury's Popping Mini Eggs. Yup, regular ol' easter candy, with Pop Rocks in 'em! Gotta go now before the store closes...
Thanks for posting these links to Toronto food blogs each week. But... Hey! No fair giving it away that our diet is a hoax...
Heh! Sorry ejm, but I hope a diet isn't in the works - there's too many good treats on your blog!
