Food Network News

foodtv.gifYeah, we all do our fair share of complaining about how the Food Network hasn't been the same since they got rid of David Rosengarten and Sara Moulton. But let's be honest here: we all still watch it, even if it's just to yell at Rachael Ray and Paula Deen.

And if you're anything like our editor-in-chief, you also watch to swoon over Ricardo. In which case you'll be happy to know that he'll be doing an online chat over at blogTV.ca on Friday night at 8 PM.

Also on the Food Network front, there are a bunch of shows set to premiere next week, including three new Canadian series and three older imports that will be airing in Canada for the first time. Full details are behind the cut...

Homegrown Shows:

French Food at Home

New Imports:

Giada's Weekend Getaways

Throwdown with Bobby Flay

Jamie's School Dinners

Jamie Oliver takes on the government in this renowned series that documents his battle to bring better food to the school lunchrooms of England. (Even if you don't like Oliver, it's worth watching for his take-no-shit sidekick Nora Sands.)

Do you think they'll get Jerry Springer to host Throwdown, and then Jerry can order a DNA test to see who's the Daddy of BBQ, and then everyone can throw chairs?

I WANT to respect Bobby Flay, I honestly do, but shit like this makes it really really difficult.

This is about as tacky as those shows where people send their friends to get a make-over.
