The nice weather (finally!!) seems to have driven food bloggers from their kitchens and out into the sunshine, as it's a sparse offering again this week.
The post of the week most definitely goes to Rob at Hungry in Hogtown for his deep-fried rabbit ears. He's attracted a lot of attention from rabbit-lovers everywhere, but if you're going to eat an animal (and I wonder how many of the folks who left him hateful comments eat chicken, pork and beef?), doesn't it make sense to use every last bit of it? I can remember helping my Dad clean rabbits when I was a kid (wouldn't eat 'em, but I could gut 'em with no qualms), and the ears were always thrown away.
One of the few Toronto food bloggers who seems to still be cooking up a storm is Do You Know the Muffin Man?, where the stove is on nonstop, with posts about Fresh Fig and Pistachio Frangipani tart, Chocolate Hazelnut Truffle Diamonds, Blueberry Cream Scones and Healthier Cornbread.
Ruth's got more pasta than she knows what to do with at Once Upon a Feast where she's still working on Presto pasta night #2. She offers her own recipes for South Beach diet-friendly dishes and mushroom stroganoff while this week's round-up offers just about everything else.
